The wind kept me awake last night. I woke up to find leaves, sticks, branches everywhere — nature strewn about. As I walked to work, the wind moved me horizontally as I moved forward. So as not to be taken away by this force physically or mentally, I felt myself grounding — feet contacting the earth and with each step repeating, “I am here.”
As we find ourselves pushed & pulled by the external & riding the edge of reactivity — whether from the wind, a worry about the future, a wound from the past — we are always welcomed home by the essential self, invited to connect to the internal still point & inherent wisdom — moving into the container of the present moment — the here & now — responding from the source of consciousness.
